Save On Craft Supplies For Valentines At Michaels

Valentine’s Day is coming up in just a few weeks. Soon, parents will be presented with a list of the names of all the children who share a classroom with their child, and expected to provide valentines for each and every one of them. Instead of buying those pre-made valentines that have cartoon characters on them, wouldn’t it be more fun to make handmade valentines this year? You can save on craft supplies that are perfect for Valentine’s Day at Michaels. While I don’t know exactly how much money I have spent at Michaels over the years, I am certain … Continue reading

Planning a Valentine’s Party for School

Today I am busy planning games for the Valentine’s Day party for my twins’ third grade class. Their winter holiday party got canceled due to a blizzard. So I want the Valentine’s party to be extra special. I’m trying to think up fresh ideas or at least fun slants on old ideas. I think we might do the old guess how many valentine heart candies are in the jar game. But since they are learning multiplication now, I think I’ll throw a multiplying slant to it. Finding Ways to Make Valentine’s Day Allergy-Friendly

Will your child’s classroom at school be having a Valentine’s Day party? This is one of those situations where you cannot be certain what foods, sweets, or treats your child will encounter. Find out if there will be a Valentine’s Day celebration taking place in the classroom. Will the party include cookies, candy, and other treats that are sent … Continue reading

Kid-Friendly Valentine’s Day Crafts

It’s Catholic Schools Week, so for the past few days I’ve been playing craft mom in my kindergartner’s classroom. Fortunately, my daughter’s teacher came up with most of the projects the kids put together. Still, getting 20 kids to stay on task with glue and scissors was a challenge. The class had a blast making a variety of art projects incorporating the Catholic Schools Week theme. However, the one craft they really got excited about creating was a holder for their Valentine’s Day cards. One was a shoebox decorated with stickers, glitter glue, paper hearts, heart-shaped candies, ribbons and stamps. … Continue reading

Valentine’s Day is Coming Soon

It won’t be long. February 14th is only about a month away. While you may still be catching your breath from the recent passage of the major holidays, it will soon be time to start getting ready for Valentine’s Day. Sooner might be better than later, especially if your kiddos seem to be having a little bit of holiday let down like many people feel after big holidays are over (especially Christmas). You can get them excited about some new projects and upcoming events and occasions. Custom Valentines Instead of buying packages of ready to use Valentines, consider making custom … Continue reading
