Celebrating special occasions has never been more affordable thanks to some generous hotels, restaurants and other family-friendly attractions.

Take a look at the deep discounts and freebies being offered right now for individuals commemorating major milestones:

MOTHER'S DAY

Moms get free admission to the Franklin Park Zoo in Massachusetts on Mother's Day. (This freebie is being duplicated at hundreds of zoos nationwide. Check with your local zoo to see if mom can get in free on her special day.)

BIRTHDAY

Get free admission any time during the month of your birthday at one of the nine Medieval Times dinner theaters across North America.

Score a free round of golf at the upscale Fairmont Chateau Whistler in British Columbia.

WEDDINGS AND ANNIVERSARIES

If you book your honeymoon at one of the upscale Elite Island Resorts in the Caribbean the property will pay for your wedding (up to $900).

Couples celebrating a wedding anniversary are invited to stay at Gaylord Hotels where they will receive a free night and upgraded accommodations.

GOOD REPORT CARD

Reward your students' efforts in the classroom by taking her to the Ohio State Park Resorts. Bring your kid's report card and you'll get $10 off room rates for each A, up to $50.

Gant Condominiums in Aspen is also offering a great deal on good grades. Their "A Grades That Pay" package offers discounts up to 24 percent, regardless of the child's age.

The Wildlife Research Institute in Ely, Minnesota is offering discounts on their four-day black-bear field-study courses (offered May through August) for students, with GPAs of 3.5 or better.

MEMORIAL DAY

Military families can celebrate family time with free admission to SeaWorld or any of the other Busch Gardens parks. Note: This deal has been extended beyond the Memorial Day weekend, and now provides free admission to active military personnel and veterans anytime in 2009.
