Family Fun Week in Review

We are in that weird transition time of the end of the summer and the beginning of fall and school. With that in mind, I’ve been including more educational and logic games on the blog the last few weeks to wake up those brains. Fuse Bead Fun – Easy Crafts

I boxed up all our “melty beads” last week. That’s what we called the fuse beads made by Hama or Perler beads. We have done so many projects over the years with these beads. We’ve made refrigerator magnets, items for mobiles, package tags, Christmas ornmanets, and much more. If you’ve never used these beads, you should give them a try. Family Reunion Fun for Small Children

For small children, family reunions can actually be very boring. I imagine that they are quite confused by all the people they don’t who are standing around talking and eating food that looks very different and suspicious. We’ve had a few reunions in the last couple of years. One reunion was at a home with a pool. There was no problem occupying the children at that reunion. Most of us aren’t so lucky, though. Aqua Dots – Craft Project

We splurged on Aqua Dots a few weeks ago. They were on the expensive side for a craft. Even on sale the starter kit came in at sixteen dollars. The boys had seen the commercials though, so they wanted it. I thought it looked cute and justified the price because it would be a good exercise for fine motor coordination. I have mixed opinions on this toy. The end product is very cute and colorful. So cute that it makes us want to make more.
