Here are some games to play at your Pooh Bear Party!

For a fun game, that is harder than it sounds, try to throw "bees" into a honey pot. The bees can be any decent sized candy. We used miniature Hersey candy bars. To make the candy look more like bees, draw black stripes on yellow tissue paper, then wrap a small pieces of the tissue paper around the candy and secure it with a piece of clear tape. To play the game, try to throw the "bees" into the pot. The honey pot can be a punch bowl, or any large round bucket. We actually used a plastic cauldron from Halloween. I covered it in brown paper, wrote the word Hunny" on the paper, and dribbled yellow paint down the sides to look like honey. Just be aware that the smaller the opening, the harder the game is going to be.

Kanga and Roo are good jumpers. For a fun race, have the children hold a stuffed animal and hop to the finish line. And of course, bouncing is what Tiggers do "bestest". For bouncing use playground balls or super balls and see who can bounce theirs the highest. The super balls bounce the highest, but are easily lost - especially with a crowd of excited children. Plus, if there are very young children at your party the small balls are a choking hazard. Or you can just have the kids bounce up and down.

The Many Songs of Winnie the Pooh has songs from the original Disney movies. So you can play "The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers" as the kids bounce, or the "Rumbly in my Tumbly" song for stretching up and down before lunch.

Poor Eeyore is always losing his tail. For our Pin the Tail on the Donkey game, I painted a tailless Eeyore on a large cardboard box. For tails I cut strips out of gray felt and put tape on the ends. I had plans to tie pink ribbons on the tails, but never got around to it. You don't have to paint your own donkey though; there are lots of Pin the Tail on the Donkey games out there you can purchase.

Scavenger hunts are fun too. You can hide cut outs of Pooh and his friends, bees, honey pots, and balloons around the house and yard. For preschoolers make the clues easy to follow and the items easy to find.

There's something very sweet and special about this "silly old bear" and about parties featuring our friend Pooh.
