If you are still looking for ways you can spend time with your kids and create memorable gifts for the special mother, grandmother, or mother figure in your life, then check out these simple Mother's Day craft projects:

WEATHERED VASE

Materials:

Empty glass jar

Masking tape

Shoe polish

Cloth rag

Directions:

Completely cover the glass jar with torn pieces of masking tape, making sure that the pieces of tape overlap each other.

Apply shoe polish to rag and rub over the jar, making sure to completely cover every piece of tape.

Allow to dry overnight.

Fill weathered vase with fresh flowers or a small plant.

EGG CARTON FLOWERS

Materials:

Cardboard egg carton

Scissors

Paint or markers

Pipe Cleaners

Directions:

Cut individual cups out of the egg carton.

Next, cut 4 to 6 petals on each flower, so that is resembles a tulip.

Bend and curl petals to look like a real flower.

Use sharp end of scissors to poke a hole through the center of the cup.

Thread a pipe cleaner through the hole and knot to create the stem.

Use markers or paint to decorate each flower.

When flowers are dry, create a bouquet to give to mom.

FLOWER PINCUSHION

Materials:

Small empty yogurt container

Felt

Fabric

Glue

Rubber band

Styrofoam ball

Directions:

Completely cover empty yogurt container with green felt. Glue felt in place.

Cut flower petals from remaining felt.

Glue petals around the inside edge of the container.

Use a Styrofoam ball that is slightly larger than the yogurt container and cover it with fabric.

Insert the ball into the container, and add a few pins before presenting your homemade gift to mom.
