Mother's Day Crafts and More for May 2006

Since Mother's Day is next month, just a couple of weeks away in fact, I will be posting several Mother's Day Gift Ideas that children can make. They will need a little help with some of these crafts, so an older sibling, Dad, or a grandparent should help them out. Of course, these crafts can also be used for any occasion, or everyday projects, not just for Mother's Day.

If you are a mom, you might want to let your children page through the ideas and pick something out to make for you. Have an older person help them look through the pages and print out ideas (while you're not looking of course). Children adore making things for Mommy, and I think they will really enjoy some of the ideas I have in mind. I know that you will enjoy the gifts, first of all because your children made them, but also because most of these items are really cute and some are quite useable.

You might also want to use these ideas for your own mother and help your kids make cute gifts for Grandma. I hope you and your kids have fun with these crafts, and I'll be posting several different ideas from now until Mother's Day.

After Mother's Day, I'll start posting a series of crafts, other projects, and activities to keep kids busy over summer vacation. Some of these ideas will give you a blast from the past. Others will keep kids entertained while you work, while some will require your time and assistance. I'll work hard to help you find ways to keep your kids active, entertained, and mentally stimulated during the summer months, while doing the same with my own four children.

I would love to hear from you, so please don't hesitate to share thoughts and ideas.
