Three Quick and Easy Ghost Craft Projects

Halloween ghosts are very easy to make. Here are three to occupy the kids or to brighten someone else's day.

Ghostly feet

Take one small person's foot and press into white washable paint. Press their feet onto black paper so that the heel is at the top of the paper. The round imprint of the heel is the ghost's head. On top of the paint put googly eyes, or dots of black paint for eyes. The prints of little toes almost look like the ghosts are floating. These make great party invitations or Halloween cards for grandparents.

Tissue paper ghosts

These have been around for years. Take one tissue and ball it up. Lay another tissue over the wadded up tissue. Pick them both up so that the flat tissue wraps around the ball. Tie a string under the ball and you have a ghost ready for hanging from a chandelier or tree. If you want you can add eyes and mouths to you r ghosts with marker. I like to give mine round "o" shaped mouths. You can make bigger versions out of paper towels, and huge versions out of sheets.

Polymer Clay Ghosts

Take a small bit of white or pearl polymer clay. Roll it into a teardrop shape. Flatten the teardrop. The large round part of the teardrop is the ghosts head. Take the skinny end and move it to the side so that it becomes the trail of white the ghost is leaving behind. You can add eyes with black clay. Or after the ghosts are baked you can use a paint marker for those facial features. These ghosts can be used as is on invitations, cards, or scrapbook pages. If you glue a magnet or a pin back to them they make fun fridge magnets and pins. And if you want a necklace you could embed a jump ring or a paper clip into ghost before baking.
