Break out the sidewalk chalk and think big! With a yard stick, or a board to use for a straight edge, your kids can use the chalk to draw a giant checkerboard or chess game on the driveway or patio. Wet Sidewalk Chalk

You and your kids may think sidewalk chalk is old news, but here are some fun ways to make it feel like a new toy. Wet chalk draws with much more vibrant colors. Simply soak the chalk in a tub of water, or even a puddle, for a half hour or so. The change in color alone will occupy kids for a good chunk of time. 3 Quick Ways to Celebrate the 4th of July

June is almost over, which means the 4th of July is right around the corner. Here are some easy ideas for celebrating the holiday. Take an embroidery hoop and tie or tape on red, white, and blue ribbons or streamers. If you don’t have a hoop, you can cut out a circle from a cardboard box or even a paper plate. Aqua Dots – Craft Project

We splurged on Aqua Dots a few weeks ago. They were on the expensive side for a craft. Even on sale the starter kit came in at sixteen dollars. The boys had seen the commercials though, so they wanted it. I thought it looked cute and justified the price because it would be a good exercise for fine motor coordination. I have mixed opinions on this toy. The end product is very cute and colorful. So cute that it makes us want to make more. Things to do with your stockpile (Part Two)

Paper Towels *When planting, use paper towels to line the bottom of your pot. It helps keep the soil most. *If your book gets wet, place a paper towel between every wet page, close and place something heavy on the book. Let it set over night. This will keep the pages from wrinkling as they dry. *Spray paper towels with your favorite perfume and place in your drawers or closet to keep things smelling nice. *Crayon marks on chalkboard – place a paper towel over the marks and press with a warm iron.
